Cassandra Redel’s interest in Special Event decorating began in Los Angeles more than 20 years ago where she was working as a set designer and often traveling to Europe. Hoping to foster a more European respect for flowers as an integral part of everyday life, she launched Fleurs Cassandra. After years of hard work her clientele list grew to include many high profile corporations and private customers. Her work as been seen on screen as well as in magazines and books, to include Designer’s West, Architectural Digest, Gourmet Magazine, House and Garden, Bride, Conte Nast and Fine Flowers.
After making The Berkshires her permit residence 17 years ago Cassandra became the house florist for the Wheatliegh as well as Cranwell Resort and decorated many private homes throughout the Berkshires, Connecticut, New York and Long Island. From simple to simply sublime, she loves to create new ways and ideas, challenging herself to come up with that special detail to make your home spaces or event, your very own.
Cassandra Redel has been fortunate to work not only in the United States but also throughout Europe, New Zealand, and Mauritius and brings her global experience to her designs. " I love creating and also transforming spaces. Taking a venue and making it magical is an amazing feeling. When someone walks into a tent or sees their pool area for the first time, and it takes their breath away, that’s when Im happy. Surprise is everything."
Cassandra Redel believes that floral design should not only capture the spirit of the day and the event, but also capture the essence of those hosting it, the fundamental nature of the venue in which it is held and the spirit of all in attendance.
